As his family shows off his camp scrapbook, there are blank pages in the back that are not only for memories at camp this summer and in the future, but also for a child with a lot of life yet to live.

The campers grow closer together with passing each year as they participate in summer activities and fight the same illness, but the camp counselors also experience a close bond with the kids.

During the camp sessions, campers may participate in a variety of activities..

"As a child, I had never been to a camp before attending The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp and had never spent more than a day away from my parents.

Camp Goodtimes East is held at Ross Point Camp just east of Spokane, Washington along the shores of the Spokane River.

"My favorite memory is having too many fantastic memories to not be able to pick just one."

Campers made capes, masks, comic books and performed physical obstacles en route to becoming the best they could be.

"I love it here!" said One Step camper, Terri Ann, upon arriving to camp.
