Chautauqua Lake KOA
5652 Thumb Road Dewittville, NY 14728
Anita Perry, along with her husband Bill own and operate Chautauqua Lake KOA. They purchased the park in 1993 and in 2010 joined the KOA system, working together to make the campground the best that it could be. Together they have raised their grandson Elijah, who has been a big joy and blessing in their lives.
Anita has always had a love for people and children in particular. She has taught in the school system and at children church ministries, was a bus monitor, and has worked with town recreation programs, children summer camps and more. When they joined KOA they were introduced to KOA Care Camps. She was touched by the compassion that this special cause brings, not for the cure of cancer but the opportunity that we can make a difference to children facing cancer, as well as the whole family. They began having fund raisers, special events and raffles to help KOA raise funds to send these kids with cancer to medically supervised camps for a week of fun.
When she was asked to serve on the Board of Care Camps she was honored. She believe it takes everyone to do their part to make a difference, and she is thrilled to be able to be a part in this special way. She is excited to see so many people working together for this wonderful cause. It truly is a joy to be able to give, see the results and know that you truly are making a difference.
